        Zurich is a major city in Switzerland connecting the country to various parts of the globe, by air as well as trans-national trains to the European countries. 

      The central Railway station is a witness of artistic excellence of the Romans.

            There are provisions for half day city tours with an English speaking guide. This is the best possible way to understand the city and its rich cultural heritage. No one can beat the Swiss in packaging tourism.

       Zurich city is almost divided into half by river "Limat" which crisscrosses through the city.

        The city boasts of 1200 fountains delivering round the clock water which is absolutely drinkable. Though the fountains are quite old, the water is safe for drinking.

        Few major attractions in the city are the Townhall, Police headquarters, Lime Tree Court & the largest clock of Switzerland.

         The side of the town hall in this picture used to be the fish market. Sculptors of fishes can be seen on the wall of this side of the monument. The other side is the vegetable market and you are right the wall depicting figures of different vegetables.

         The most unusual place to find splendid paintings is the Zurich City Police Headquarters. One can't believe unless he sees for himself.

        Romans used to have open air courts called "Lime Tree Court" which resembles a massive garden of Lime trees. Being on top of a hillock, this place gives a nice view of the river "Limat" from top.

         Another attraction is the biggest clock of Switzerland. One movement of the minute hand of the clock is equal to 45 Centimeters.

          Boating facility is available on the river "Limat" which gives a panoramic view of the magnificent city of Zurich.

Unsung Heroes of Rezang La

Here is the story of the brave soldiers of Indian army, during the Indo-China war in 1962. The story is of gallantry, patriotism and dedication of a small platoon of Indian soliders who bravely fought a battalion of Chinese army with full artillery support. Thanks to  @Peacef_Warrior  and  @anilkohli54  for sharing the detailed account on Twitter.  Introduction Rezang La  was the site of the last stand of the 13 Kumaon, during the War in 1962 company led by Maj Shaitan Singh (Winner of  Param Vir Chakra ). On 18 November 1962, 114 Indian soldiers out of a total of 123 were killed killing 1300 Chinese soldiers in the battle. Petu

Saryumousi passed away yesterday. After the last rites, "Petu" is nowhere to be seen. The relationship between Saryumousi and Petu is more than that of a mother-son. Their relationship was an example of affection and undiluted love.  There was a small hamlet in the low lying areas of the coastal Odisha. Most of its inhabitants were fishermen who made their leaving by fishing in the sea. Mr. Shashidhar Dash, headmaster of the village school lived there with his wife Saryudevi. Though god hadn't blessed her with a child, but Sarymousi loved the kids in their locality as her own. The couple lived happily with the paltry resources the headmaster could make from his job in the school. A small thatched hut was at one end of the village, slightly at a higher from ground.
